In early May, Mary McCarty from DDN posted a great article that quoted Rev. Mark Pridmore on his thoughts about the same-sex marriage ceremony that occurred this past weekend at Courthouse Square, "Vows to Take a Stand." The ceremony that pronounced the couples "forever joined in holy matrimony" was symbolic in nature, as well as a political stand against the state law passed in 2004 that prohibited the legalization of gay marriage.

Chorus sings and dances to energetic crowd in new venue

The atmosphere was electric. The buzz began even before the auditorium opened to guests and continued through the after-party at The 88 Club. On the evening of Saturday, March 31, the Dayton Gay Men’s Chorus presented the spring concert “Lights, Camera, Chorus!” to an energetic, sold-out crowd of more then 500 in a new venue: the Dayton Art Institute’s NCR Renaissance Auditorium.
